Answers to Life...
We are excited to have you come and worship with us. We don't have the complex and formal order of service that marks many churches and denominations. It is our belief that the Bible is the greatest guide ever given to man. Instead of following an empty tradition, we follow the direction of the Holy Spirit and the biblical order laid down for the church. We hope this will help explain to you why we worship as we do.
The term “Christian” literally means “Christ-like”, specifically in reference to Jesus Christ. The term was first used as a mockery against early new testament believers, insinuating that they were nothing more than mindless followers of Jesus Christ. As any true follower of Christ would be, the “Christians” accepted the reproachful term as flattery for their faith, and the title eventually became quite common, though mentioned only twice in the Bible itself (Acts 26:28 and 1 Peter 4:16).
In a world that is coming apart at the seams, there is hope for you! Jesus Christ died on a cross to pay the consequences of our sins for us. Jesus was the Son of God, and He has the power to free you from your sins, addictions, and shortcomings. He is always willing to forgive, no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done. Experience the changed life that is waiting for you, if you’ll only pray to receive Jesus into your heart and be forgiven of your sins. THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
"...he said to them, 'Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?' So they said to him, 'We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.' And he said to them, 'Into what then were you baptized?' So they said, 'Into John's baptism.' Then Paul said, 'John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.' When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied." Acts 19:2-6
